Shortly after lucia 2018, Nadal's Salvatge rosé entered the systembolaget. Then the cava house still belonged to D.O Cava, which later came to change in February. You who follow me on instagram and here on the blog surely read about the twelve houses that under the name Corpinnat, finally decided to leave DO Cava in February 2019. If you want to read more about Corpinnat there is a separate link to this in main menu.
Nadal is a wonderful producer belonging to the top layer of Catalonia. I've written about them several times before, and if you want to get a better feeling for what it is like to be there, you can read my post from August 29, 2018.
Nadal came in with their Gran Reserva Brut Nature on the systembolaget already December 2015 and now their presence here in Sweden has increased considerably. As this is one of my favorite houses, I am happy to announce that their four sparkling wines that are available here in Sweden will all be pressented here on the blog during the summer! First out is Salvatge, one of my absolute favorite roses!

This is an extremely nice cava, in my personal opinion. Fresh and fruity, with nice acidity and a fine mousse. It is very well made and belongs to the group of rosés that I always come back to. When it was not available in Sweden yet, I could seriously long for the next trip because I knew that I would be able to enjoy it again.
It is quite unusual to age rosés this long, but I love it! In the case of Salvatgel, it results in an elegant, interesting and addictive wine. It is like the wine has gained life experience and actually has something interesting to tell, unlike all these young fruity rosés. Think of an elegant, sophisticated, well-educated woman with great integrity and lots of life experience whose life stories never fail. But she does not tell them to anyone, so you have to show serious interest for her to open up tand tell the great stories that is her life.
It is also quite interesting that she is so elegant when her name is "Salvatge" which means savage. I know Xavier (the winemaker) gave her this name because she is an uncomplicated and "raw" product directly from the earth. But she is beautiful, elegant and so stylish in my eyes.
